ESPS recently delivered its premier industrial robot, in line with the strategy to expand its service offering scope. This first robot project is the result of the new collaboration with FANUC Robotics Benelux, which enables ESPS to sell and install FANUC industrial robots, as well as provide services to FANUC robot users. As an authorised FANUC system integrator, ESPS has increased its offering to include robotic system engineering and integration, drawing upon FANUC Robotics’ wide range of industrial robots and automation solutions.

The industrial robot was installed at the Chinese site of long-standing customer Sensata Technologies. There, the robot is used to seal thermostats in a semi-automatic process. Each seal has to be applied very accurately to prevent moisture ingress into the thermostats. This first project enabled ESPS to demonstrate its engineering capabilities. ESPS aspires to take up more engineering projects for IMS as well as for external customers.
